Huey: Years ago, on a night off in the midst of a tour, John Pierce and I were having a drink in the hotel bar. I don't remember what town we were in.
Two women walking through recognized us and struck up a conversation. Very nice ladies. It turned out they were a couple. After a bit, they said they were on their way to this other bar and would we like to join them? We said, sure, what the hell.
We got into their beat up Toyota Camry. And when she started the car, we suddenly heard our song "I'm Not In Love Yet" from "Plan B" playing. It was already in the tape player (again, this was years ago) and kicked in as soon as she turned the key.
I said, "Wow!"
The lady in the driver's seat turned to me and said, "This is the best song you have ever done."
This is the type of Huey Lewis & The News content that we want- you're doing this right. Thanks!
Listening to Plan B last night, one of those albums you can listen all the way through doesn't feel like there are any filler tracks at all.
